At least the carpet is clean now! :)

Now that some time has passed, I think I can write about this. :)

Yesterday, I awakened to Kaylee, who came into the room and whispered, "Mom.....There was a little bit of an accident this morning.....don't worry,  I cleaned it up." :)  Of course I WAS worried. I was still quite groggy because I was up all night with another little one, so I sleepily said, "What do you mean? What happened?!?" Kaylee informed me that she started drawing her bath water and got busy and forgot about it. When she discovered it, the water had overflowed the bathroom and went into the hallway, where it drenched the carpet. At that point, I didn't know how bad it was. My tired brain didn't fully comprehend, or process all she was saying. I thought maybe a little got on the floor and she wiped it up and it was good. I was too tired to deal with it at that point anyway, so I said, "Ok, thanks for telling me." I also thanked her for cleaning it up. :) I ended up dozing off & once I did wake up, I saw the enormous pile of sopping wet towels, sitting on the carpet outside the bathroom! :(  As I began lifting some of the dripping wet towels, I noticed the dripping wet quilt that apparently absorbed most of the water. :(  These were some heavy towels & blankets. I honestly could barely lift the piles. I took a dry towel & began blotting the water in the hallway. It was still a little damp, but it didn't feel too bad.

Thankfully, John was working while all this happened. We all began to get ready for church. We had a meal to prepare & I had to help the little ones get ready. John came home in the midst of it all & I was busy & didn't tell him about the water incident. We began talking in the garage when a drop of water fell from the ceiling. :(  I said, "Did something just drip from the ceiling?"
John said, "No. You're imaging things." Just as he said that, another drop came down, then another & there was no more procrastinating....I had to tell him. :(  I told him what happened & he flipped. (I can't say I blamed him, but I felt bad for Kaylee who felt just terrible).  My parents were on their way over to help John build some shelves in our Laundry room. So, in stead of shelves, they ended up cutting a hole in our ceiling and removing the soaking wet insulation from the Garage Ceiling. :(  We now have a couple of holes in our ceiling and a lot of sopping wet insulation sitting in a huge bin on the garage floor. I felt so bad leaving with the girls to go to church while they were working on the ceiling. I asked John if he wanted us to stay and help and he said, "No, just go to church."

So, that was our Sunday morning excitement. :)
